Communication by email is an integral part of our everyday lives. However, emails often contain confidential, sensitive and data protection-relevant information. This applies not only to internal exchanges, but also to partnerships and customer relationships. Data breaches or spying regularly cause major damage, both financially and to a company's image. The secure exchange of emails should therefore be a top priority, especially in terms of compliance. The solution
Our email encryption in detail:
We provide three modules. All modules are set up and managed using a single management interface.
On the one hand, this includes the automatic protection of confidential email traffic throughout the company (managed domain encryption) and to external recipients. Full encryption incorporates the best technologies, e.g. S/MIME, OpenPGP, TLS, SSL or domain encryption. Using the patented GINA technology, secure emails can also be exchanged with recipients who do not have specific software or keys. In this way, you can send spontaneous, confidential emails without knowing whether and how the communication partner is using encryption. The recipient only needs an email client and a web browser. Thanks to the centralized approach, the rules of the uncomplicated solution can be adapted at any time, key management requires no administrative effort and the best encryption method is selected automatically without the user having to do anything.
Secondly, we can digitally sign your emails. This means that every recipient knows who the actual sender is and that the email has not been altered. The certificates required for this are obtained automatically via Managed Public Key Infrastructure (MPKI) in conjunction with SwissSign, an accredited and globally recognized certification authority, assigned to the user and used to sign all outgoing emails. All emails are checked and marked at the recipient's end. The process is supported by all common email clients.
We also enable the secure file transfer of oversized files that are too large for conventional emails. For example, databases, images, videos or print files can be exchanged bidirectionally using GINA technology. The data is encrypted and stored on the appliance for a predetermined period of time. Data can be sent via a plug-in or a web interface.
Spontaneous communication with SEPPmail
SEPPmail's email encryption also enables fully secure spontaneous communication:
- Immediate delivery of a confidential email, including attachments
- Simple process for transmitting the initial password (phone, etc.)
- No preparation required on the recipient side, any email client and browser will do
- Intuitive and fast registration (optional separate password and security question/answer for independent password reset)
- Immediate reading and replying, even with attachments
