Information about the collection of personal data
In the following, we inform you about the collection of personal data when you are using our website. Personal data is all data that can be related to you personally, e.g. name, address, e-mail addresses, user behavior.
a) The responsible party pursuant to Art. 4 (7) EU-General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is DTS Systeme GmbH, Schrewestraße 2 in 32051 Herford (see our imprint). You can reach our data protection officer at firstname.lastname@example.org or our postal address with the addition "the data protection officer".
b) If we use contracted service providers for individual functions of our offer or would like to use your data for advertising purposes, we will inform you in detail about the respective processes below. In this context, we will also specify the defined criteria for the storage period.
When you use this website, various personal data are collected. Personal data is data with which you can be personally identified. On the one hand, your data is collected by you providing it to us. Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view. This data is collected automatically as soon as you enter this website. Some of the data is collected to ensure error-free provision of the website. Other data may be used to analyze your user behavior.
Analysis tools and third-party tools
During the visit of this website, your surfing behavior can be statistically analyzed. This is done primarily with so-called analysis programs.
Information on data transfer to the USA
Some of the tools integrated on our website are provided by companies based in the USA. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to the US servers of the respective companies. We would like to inform you that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU data protection law. US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as a data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.
Our website uses so-called "cookies". Cookies are small text files and do not cause any damage to your terminal device. They are saved either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.
Sometimes cookies from third-party companies may also be stored on your terminal device when you enter our site (third-party cookies). These enable us or you to use certain services of the third-party company (e.g. cookies for processing payment services).
Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions wouldn't work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies are used to evaluate user behavior or display advertising.
Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process (necessary cookies) or to provide certain functions that you have requested (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies to measure the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to store cookies has been requested, the cookies in question are stored exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR); consent can be revoked at any time.
You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. When deactivating cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.
If cookies are used by third-party companies or for analysis purposes, we will inform you about this separately within the framework of this data protection declaration and, if necessary, request your permission.
Cookie permission with Cookiebot
This website uses the cookie consent technology of Cookiebot to obtain your permission to store certain cookies on your terminal device or to use certain technologies and to document this in accordance with data protection law. The provider of this technology is Cybot A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, website: www.cookiebot.com/de/ (in the following: Cookiebot).
When you enter our website, a Cookiebot cookie is stored in your browser, in which the permission you have given or the revocation of this permission is stored. This data will not be shared with the Cookiebot cookie provider.
The collected data will be stored until you request us to delete it or delete the Cookiebot cookie yourself, or until the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Obligatory legal retention periods remain unaffected. Details on data processing by Cookiebot can be found at www.cookiebot.com/de/privacy-policy/.https://www.cookiebot.com/de/privacy-policy/
We have concluded an order processing contract with Cookiebot. This is a contract required by data protection law, which ensures that Cookiebot only processes the personal data of our website visitors according to our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.
Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
This data is not merged with other data sources.
The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website provider has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of it' website - for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.
Request by e-mail, telephone or fax
If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We won't pass on this data without your permission.
The processing of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the performance of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests sent to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) if this was requested.
The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions - in particular legal retention periods - remain unaffected.
Registration on this website
You can register on this website in order to use additional functions on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The obligatory data requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise we will reject the registration.
For important changes, for example in the scope of the offer or for technically necessary changes, we use the e-mail address provided during registration to inform you in this way.
The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of implementing the user relationship established by registration and, if necessary, for initiating further contracts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).
The data collected during registration will be stored by us for as long as you are registered on this website and will then be removed. Legal retention periods remain unaffected.
Utilization of our webshop
a) If you would like to order in our webshop, it is necessary for the conclusion of the contract that you provide your personal data, which we need for the processing of your order. Required data necessary for the processing of the contracts are marked separately, other data are voluntary. We process the data you provide to process your order. For this purpose, we may pass on your payment data to our house bank. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR.
You can voluntarily create a customer account, through which we can store your data for future purchases. When creating an account under "My account", the data you provide will be stored revocably. You can always deactivate all further data, including your user account, in the customer area.
We may also process the data you provide to inform you about other interesting products from our portfolio or to send you e-mails with technical information.
b) We are obliged by commercial and tax law to store your address, payment and order data for a period of ten years. Nevertheless, we will restrict processing after [two years], i.e. your data will only be used to comply with legal obligations.
c) To prevent unauthorized access by third parties to your personal data, in particular financial data, the ordering process is encrypted using TLS technology.
Participation in competitions
If you participate in a competition organized by us, we will process your data in compliance with the provisions of data protection law if the processing is necessary for the provision, implementation and handling of the competition. Processing also takes place if you have consented to it or if it serves our legitimate interest (e.g. to ensure the secure handling of the competition).
If the competition takes place within an online platform or a social network (e.g. Facebook or Instagram), the use and data protection regulations of the respective platforms also apply. In these cases, we would like to point out that we are responsible for the information provided by the participants as part of the competition and that inquiries with regard to the competition should be directed to us.
We will delete your data after the competition has been carried out and the winners have been notified, or if no further queries are expected regarding the competition. In general, the participants' data will be deleted no longer than 6 months after the end of the competition. The winners' data may be retained for a longer period, e.g. in order to be able to answer queries about the prizes or to fulfill the prize obligations; in this case, the retention period depends on the type of prize and is up to three years for items or services, for example, in order to be able to process warranty claims. Furthermore, the participants' data may be stored for longer, e.g. in the form of reporting on the sweepstakes in online and offline media.
Matomo (formerly Piwik)
This website uses the open source web analytics service Matomo. Matomo uses technologies that enable cross-page recognition of the user to analyze user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Matomo about the use of this website is stored on our server. The IP address is anonymized before storage.
The use of this analysis tool is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising. If a corresponding consent has been requested (e.g. consent to store cookies), the processing is based exclusively on Art. 6 (1) a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.
The information collected by Matomo about the use of this website isn't shared with third parties.
If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data is not or only collected on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and don't share it with third parties.
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter registration form is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
After you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address may be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR). The storage in the blacklist is not limited in time. You can disagree with the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
Sendinblue (formerly Newsletter2Go)
This website uses Sendinblue to send newsletters. The provider is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.
Sendinblue is a service with which, among other things, the sending of newsletters can be organized and analyzed. The data you enter for the purpose of receiving the newsletter is stored on Sendinblue's servers in Germany.
If you don't want Sendinblue to analyze your data, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in each newsletter message. Furthermore, you can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
With the help of Sendinblue, it is possible for us to analyze our newsletter campaigns. For example, we can see whether a newsletter message was opened and which links, if any, were clicked. In this way, we can determine, among other things, which links were clicked on particularly often.
In addition, we can recognize whether certain predefined actions were performed after opening/clicking (conversion rate). We can see, for example, whether you have made a purchase after clicking on the newsletter.
Sendinblue also allows us to subdivide ("cluster") newsletter recipients based on various categories. In doing so, newsletter recipients can be subdivided by age, gender or place of residence, for example. In this way, the newsletters can be better adapted to the respective target groups.
For detailed information on the Sendinblue functions, please refer to the following link: de.sendinblue.com/newsletter-software/.
The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide us with for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data that has been stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
After you have unsubscribed from the newsletter distribution list, your e-mail address will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider in a blacklist, if necessary, in order to prevent future mailings. You can object to the storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.
We have signed a contract with Sendinblue in which we oblige Sendinblue to protect our customers' data and not to share it with third parties.

In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This Information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve the user experience, and prevent fraud attempts.

Data processing by social networks
We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. The social networks used by us in detail can be found below.
Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can generally analyze your user behavior extensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presences initiates numerous processing operations relevant to data protection. In detail:
If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Your personal data may also be collected under certain circumstances if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data collection takes place, for example, via cookies that are stored on your end device or by recording your IP address.
The data collected in this way enables the operators of the social media portals to create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you inside and outside the respective social media presence. Provided you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising may be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.
Our social media presences are intended to ensure the most comprehensive presence possible on the internet. This is a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which are to be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR).
Responsible party and assertion of rights
If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g. Facebook), we are jointly responsible with the operator of the social media platform for the data processing operations initiated during this visit. In general, you can assert your rights (information, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability and complaint) both with regard to us and with regard to the operator of the respective social media portal (e.g. with regard to Facebook).
Please note that despite the joint responsibility with the social media portal operators, we don't have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are largely determined by the corporate policy of the respective provider.
The data collected directly by us via the social media presence is deleted from our systems as soon as the purpose for storing it no longer applies, you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to store it, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your terminal device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.

Furthermore, the provider of the tool processes all technical data required to handle the online communication. This includes in particular IP addresses, MAC addresses, device IDs, device type, operating system type and version, client version, camera type, microphone or speaker, and the type of connection.

Such content includes, but is not limited to, cloud recordings, chat/instant messages, voicemails, uploaded photos and videos, files, whiteboards, and other information shared while using the Service.

The conference tools are used to communicate with prospective or existing contractual partners or to offer certain services to our customers (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR). For details, please contact the operators of the conference tools directly.
